Natural Relief for Every Athlete

Myofascial therapy benefits pro athletes and weekend warriors alike! It’s a natural, non-invasive method that releases restrictions, increases range of motion, and manages chronic pain. Whether you play team sports or enjoy recreational activities like running, golf, and dancing, myofascial release keeps you in the game.

Performance Improvement

Ensuring that fascia is healthy and pliable ensures that muscle movement is unrestricted -- and that means greater range of motion for maximum strength and performance.

Injury Prevention

When fascia and muscles are healthy and flexible, the risk of injury is reduced. Myofascial therapy releases tightness, and stretches fascia and muscles to provide the support that tendons, ligaments, and joints need to perform without injury or strain.

Pain Management

Sports injuries, overworked/over-trained muscles, and inflammation from accident or injury can restrict fascia and cause chronic discomfort. Myofascial therapy finds and releases the "trigger points" of pain, allowing the area to relax, decompress, and return to a healthy state.

Prenatal and Postpartum Care

Prenatal myofascial release prepares the body for childbirth, helping to ensure the easiest birthing process possible for mother and baby.

A natural solution for postpartum recovery, including fatigue, back or pelvic pain, and incontinence, myofascial release helps new moms return to an active lifestyle.

How to Prepare

A woman being given a massage by a massage therapist near you

The therapist needs to be able to see your body during treatment, so please follow these guidelines:

Women

Please wear under garments or tank and loose fitting athletic shorts.

Men

Please wear undergarments or loose fitting athletic shorts.

No lotions, topical ointments, or oils on areas of treatment. Lotions and make-up provide too much slip, preventing the therapist’s hands from performing the holds properly.

MOST IMPORTANT! Bring an open mind and an open heart!
